The Start
The Start
octobre 8, 1972- Jeanne Brotte founded the Wine Museum in 1972. She was a keen collector of rare objects and scoured this wine region in search of the old winegrowing and winemaking tools that have shaped the history of the Rhône Valley wine region. Some of the objects on display have survived many centuries, including the 4000-litre foudre (tun) that dates back to the 14th century and a 16th-century wine press. The tools are exhibited according to their use: viticulture, vinification and bottling.
