A rare collection

The museum was founded in 1972 by Jeanne Brotte who carefully put together this collection of old winegrowing and winemaking tools sourced from wine producers in the Rhône Valley. Foudres (tuns), presses and a magnificent grape-treading device dating back to the 14th and 15th centuries line the museum’s visitor route, much to the delight of history lovers! These rare objects attest to the remarkable history of wine production to which Jeanne Brotte wished to pay homage.
